If you’re looking for the best way to pack kids’ outfits for Disney World, look no further. This brilliant idea became a game changer for our family and we will never go back.
Our family is full of Disney spirit! We get to Disney World at least once a year and begin the planning for the following year before the current trip is over. We absolutely love our time there. Over the years we have learned lots of things by trial and error. This idea I stumbled across years ago and have implemented ever since. It doesn’t have to strictly be for Disney either, but it definitely is the best way to pack kids’ outfits for Disney World. The idea is to have everything packed by day, activity, and child in a ziplock bag so all you have to do is pull out the bag for the day. Everything from the outfit to the hair bow is set and ready to go. Here’s a quick rundown of the process.
- Start by creating a simple excel sheet or even just a “note” on your phone with the following info: each day of your trip and what park or activity you have planned (plane ride, pool day, Animal Kingdom, etc.) and the name of each member of your family
- Once you have the plan laid out, begin adding the outfit details (what shirt/shorts/dress, shoes, hair style/accessories, etc.). Don’t forget an “extra” outfit because things always happen.
- Now you have everything written out and it’s time to put it into action. You will need a gallon size ziplock bag for each child for each day. So for our family, let’s say we have a trip planned for 8 days plus an extra outfit. We have 4 kids times 9 would be 36 gallon size bags.
- On the front of each bag use a permanent marker or label maker and write a childs name plus the activity so you know what day it is for and who it is for. Example: Austyn, Magic Kingdom. Do this for each child/each day.
- Once you have your bags labeled it’s time to fill them. I put the entire outfit, underwear, socks, hair bows/rubberbands, accessories all in the corresponding bag for the day. I don’t pack the shoes as we usually only have 2 pairs for the trip so those are separate.
- Then it’s time to put them in the suitcase. I start with the last day of the trip on the bottom and work my way backwards so the first day outfit will be on the top of the suitcase.
Now here’s some pictures added so you can see it all in action. Follow along and I promise you’ll be so happy you did.
